Capital Hill Fund Raising Going Into The Second Stage

Award-winning Danish renewable technology company Resen Waves is pleased to announce a £1.3 million capital through West Hill Capital has already been secured. The next goal is to raise an additional £1.2 million to accelerate international commercial growth.

 

The new capital will be used to expand international awareness and sales of the ground-breaking solution for the offshore oil and gas sector. Our product makes it possible to power and communicate in real time with instruments, AUV docking stations and machinery on the sea bed, and it can be controlled remotely.

Top 25 cleantech company

The Nordic Cleantech Open (NCO) has nominated Resen Waves to be among the Top 25 most promising company in the Nordic region. NCO aims to strengthen the pipeline of new innovative cleantech startups in the Nordic region. Each year, the Top 25 most promising companies are chosen by a jury after a massive sweep of the Nordic innovation environment to find the most exciting and progressive start-ups around. This year the biggest number of first-time applicants joined the competition.

RW exhibit Ocean Business 2017

For the very first time Resen Waves will be present at the international Ocean Business 2017 event – taking place in Southampton in april.
At the exhibit we will be launching our Smart Ocean Buoy for the industry.

RW moves HQ to Scion DTU

As of sep. 1st Resen Waves will move its head office to Scion DTU just north of Copenhagen. Scion DTU is the Danish Science and Technology Park and will give the company access to extraordinary network and engineering talents.

Succesful workbench test

Today, after 4 years of research and engineering, our direct power generation system went through its final workbench examination and passed.

CEO Per Resen Stenstrup comments: “Not only did it pass, but our brand new 3rd generation Resen Power Buoy performed much better than we had anticipated. Based on the test today, we are both very delighted and optimistic about the upcoming sea test during the summer of 2016.”

RW “Innobooster” approval

Resen Waves has just received funding approval from the Danish Entrepreneurship program: “Innobooster”. CEO Per Resen Stenstrup comments: “We are thrilled to be awarded funding from the national innovation program. It emphasizes the current commercial readiness and potential of our company judged by an external expert, and will help us to develop and commercialize more state of the art cleantech solutions.”

The “Innobooster” program is administered by Innovation Fund Denmark. Innovation Fund Denmark invests in new knowledge and technology, creating growth and employment in Denmark.

Cleantech veteran joins RW

Cleantech veteran Michael Stadi joins the board as chairman of Resen Waves. Mr. Stadi is passionate about entrepreneurship and renewable energy. Although Michael started his career in the financial industry, he later focused his efforts on clean tech and renewable energy. He has established a greenfield operation within the largest Danish utility company taking the turnover from 0 to 80 million euro, and listed the world’s first carbon fund on the NASDAQ OMX exchange. Later he became CEO of the largest Scandinavian building-integrated photovoltaic company and grew it from a turnover of 0.7 to 20 million euro in just 4 years. Michael has an Executive MBA and a degree in economics and finance.
